（古晋27日讯）砂拉越总理拿督巴丁宜阿邦佐哈里宣称，为了砂拉越航天与航空未来，砂政府在培育下一代方面义不容辞，其中，砂拉越正建设砂拉越科学中心，并在山都望发展婆罗洲天文中心（Borneo Astronomy Centre），以强化STEM教育，提升青少年对科学、工程与太空领域的兴趣，好让航天与新太空产业对年轻一代而言变得可见、可及且可实现。
他称，人才发展方面，砂拉越将优先培训本地子弟掌握相关技术。
他指出，砂拉越已与清华大学、伊斯坦布尔理工大学、中东理工大学等国际学术机构合作，开展联合研究、课程开发及学生与专业人才交流。
同时，砂拉越积极与文莱、泰国、新加坡等东盟国家协作，推动区域互操作性及共享竞争力。砂总理强调，东盟的力量在于协作而非单打独斗。
他是于今日在出席主持亚太航空航天大会上致词时，如是表示。
他说，砂政府将采取循序渐进方式，先建立本地技术与工程团队，再逐步推进卫星项目发展。
此外，婆罗洲天文中心（Borneo Astronomy Centre）也可能与ICATS展开合作，作为相关科研与培训用途的一部分。
